San Diego, CA.   As a result of the increased need for credit report review specialists, stemming from a variety of new laws and regulations, specialized training of professional counselors from the credit industry has become very important. 

 

Amanda Florence-Houk, currently co-founder of A & B Adult Healthcare was former Family Success and Financial Literacy Manager at Hawthorne Community Center in Indianapolis, IN. It is a great achievement for Dr. Amanda Houk to have successfully completed the ICFE Certified Credit Report Reviewer (CCRR) training.

 

The curriculum is the ICFE’s Certified Credit Report Reviewer certification program. Topics include learning about credit repair scams, governing rules on credit reporting developed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Fair Debt Collection Act, credit scoring techniques and consumer credit rights among numerous others.

 

The ICFE’s CCRR certification program is the nation’s only training program specifically developed for professionals who are educating and assisting clients and their families maintain and improve their credit ratings and scores plus combat hurtful inaccuracies in credit reports and avoiding loan schemes and payday lenders.

 

“Many clients, and especially low income clients, are typical targets of fraudulent business deals and scams whether the businesses have a storefront or operate on the internet. Loan fraud, payday lending, rent to own scams, credit and identity theft are among the most prevalent.  A good way to help them avoid entrapment is education,” said Dr. Amanda Houk. The CCRR materials include necessary materials for those certified by the ICFE to counsel their clients on these important issues.
